Other than word of mouth, I think awards & recognitions are good places to start. I live in Boston so I scour the “Best of Boston” lists that come out each year. Of course, this may mean the planners are a bit more expensive since they can get away with it.. but as long as your source is credible, you should be pointed towards the direction of some high quality planners/cordinators. Good luck!

Maybe you can ask some of your vendors that you like and trust for some suggestions. Always be sure to meet a planner in person and trust your gut - you have to like them and get along with them. then ask for at least 3 references and check up on them - past brides are usually very honest and helpful.

as far as adding value - i’ve been touting the benefits of having a planner since day one. they’re worth the piece of mind they give you on your big day so you can focus on having fun instead of worrying. Hope this helps!
