Most Romantic Entry 18

September 13th, 2006 @ 10:43 am by Mrs. Bee

It’s almost 5 years “officially” into the relationship and my bf still surprises me all the time. It’s hard to pick one thing but I’ll share with you the first birthday I shared with him as my bf:

I had a history of having really bad birthdays - something always happened and I got to a point where I always expected something to ruin it. That year my lil tidbit was that I didn’t get to celebrate on the day of bc I had to work at my parent’s place, which meant work til 10:30 pm at night with no energy to play afterwards. I was a little bummed but it was something I had to do. I spoke briefly to my bf on my way home from work with the fam, and was bummed that I couldn’t see him and also a lil upset he didn’t come to visit me either, but I was ready to call it a night.

I came home, exhausted, and went straight to my room to get ready to shower and rest. Upon opening the door, I noticed a mess of stuff on the floor and on my bed which really irritated me bc I had spent the morning cleaning it. I was so ready to scream until I turned on the light …

*If only I could post my pictures* … There were tons of arrows made out of rose buds and roses on the stem pointing to my bed. On the bed …. there were tons of rose petals that were shaped into a heart and inside it spelled J + J in rose petals. At the top near my pillows, there was a present, inside: a Limited Edition very old Precious Moment figurine that he searched HIGH and LOW for because it mirrored the painting he made for me earlier that year for Valentine’s Day.

* DING DONG ! * The door bell rings. I so did not expect this …. He’s at the door with a humongous bouquet of roses - you know the HK kind where each rose is individually wrapped - and my favorite cake, DOUBLE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE. He had been waiting for me to get home to celebrate my birthday with me!!!!

Get this … I’m a little camera crazy and he’s known that from the very beginning … so when he left, I went around my room snapping tons of shots of his surprise. When I went to develop the pictures (this is before digital cameras), he had already taken tons of pictures for my memories and one self portrait of him with the heart shaped petals.

And just to add an extra tid bit, another most romantic thing that might seem silly but really made me feel - gosh this guy really really loves me - is when he surprised me one day with the kung fu master hamster. It really blew my mind bc even though he hated it with a passion and stopped me from buying it repeatedly, he bought it for me bc he knew how much I loved it.
