I made one of these hollowed books when I was a kid to hide all my goodies, but I thought this would be a great way to propose! Gift your honey with a book, and when she opens it - voila - a ring box is inside!

I received something similar in the past but instead with a written picture story book =) You can buy a blank man-made paper book http://www.etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=441108, I think that would be sweeter =)

It reminds me of my friend’s engagement story….
There was a verse in the bible about a Lebonese bride that she had adored since she was a young girl (because she is Lebonese.) On the fourth of July, her then-boyfriend took her on a picnic, ontop of a hill, to watch the fireworks, and there, he presented her with a beautiful new bible. He said, “What was that verse that you always loved?” and she went to open up to the verse and he had cut out a ring shaped hole in the bible and inside was a beautiful engagement ring. She carried the Bible instead of a bouquet when she walked down the aisle. 
This actually happened to my old RA in college! Her now-husband gave her a book he’d written about their relationship, and at the end was a small section cut out, just big enough for the ring, and it was tied in with a ribbon!! How cute!!!
