Kate’s Cole Haan’s are the grand prize winner in the Insolia Shoe Contest! 31% voted for her jewel-toned blue stunners as your favorite wedding shoe. Can’t you just imagine how fabulous these shoes will look peeking out from under a wedding dress? And of course they also double as Kate’s something in blue!

I noticed in the contest that many of you are wearing open-toed shoes. Per my mother, it used to be a bit of a faux pas to do that, and have “ugly” toes showing out from the dress.

I never thought of that before, though I did always feel that too open/strappy wasn’t ok for when it’s colder, much as you wouldn’t go out in a casual sandal in that season.

Anyone else have thoughts on open toe vs. strappy vs. closed toe wedding shoes?

Aphijess - the style name is Maria. Technically I guess they’d be Maria pumps (to be distingushed from the other Maria styles)
