Does anyone know of a reputable jewler in NYC who can handle estate rings? My wedding band-to-be is antique and about 3 sizes too big. It is a family ring, so I am very nervous about the re-sizing!

Maybe Doyle + Doyle? I had the hardest time with this and ended up sending my ring back to the jeweler in LA to get fixed. Good luck!

oh…my ring is antique as well (well, almost, it’s from 1910-1920, so really it’s vintage right now).

Bebe says:

So is mine! And so is my e-ring. Love that time period!

It is really hard for jewelers to size rings that are over two sizes too big or small. Good luck with finding a good jeweler because they are hard to find anywhere.

Marcell at Gemkraft!
30 W. 47th Street.
1st Fl.

My FI and I designed my engagement ring and he made it 1000x better than I imagined it to be.

From now on we’re both going to him for everything. It’s worth taking it to him to see if he can help you with that. He’ll be honest with you if he doesn’t think so. But he’s an artist so I’m sure he’ll be able to do anything!

I have the phone number somewhere… I’ll find it for you if you’re interested. Let me know.

Sea, that would be great! Thank you so much.

Ok, found it!
Gemkrafts phone number is: 212-391-9011
Ask for Marcell… tell him Seasen (sounds just like Season) referred you over. He’ll take good care of you.

And when you go by his shop don’t be alarmed by it’s simplicity… his work is far grander then the surroundings lead on. :)

Pls let me, and all the rest of us, know how things work out!
All the best.
Sea

Do you have any ideas/pictures for rectangular tables?

LizG. says:

We are having rectangular tables that seat eight. Our florist has worked with these tables before and cautioned against anything too large, as that ends up getting flowers in people’s food. So we are doing small flower pots with hydrengea and roses. The pots are about four inches high, plus the flowers. Each table will have four pots, seperated by votives. The pots are doubling as our favors (one pot per couple).
