I don’t know the purpose of this game, but at my first bridal shower that my aunts gave me we played this. There was a large bowl of uncooked rice and a bunch of safety pins (closed) dumped in. Each person takes a turn being blindfolded and then they have a minute to dig out as many safety pins as they can. It sounds like it would be easy but it is hard! It’s crazy how you can’t tell what is rice and what is a safety pin! I only got 2 in 1 minute.

I threw a bridal shower for my FSIL this past Febuary that was a hit. Out of the 4 games we played, the fav among everyone was the Wedding Cake game. Each table was a group (about 5 guests) they were given a pound cake, some edible glitter, cake decor, icing and all the good fixings. They were given 10 mintues to create the best wedding cake, of which the bride chose!! The guests along with the bride had a great time..and the guests still talk about it and have used since then!

Here’s another activity that we did at my sister in law’s shower… her favorite color has been, is, and always will be pink (along with the color scheme of the wedding). So I went to the craft store and bought tons and tons of pink beads, all different shades and shapes, and some faux pearls and each guest made a bracelet to take home as a favor. After everyone was done with their bracelet, people went on to make anklets, rings and cell phone pendants too. It was the quietest hour (yes, HOUR!) of the whole day as everyone concentrated on their beading. My sister in law and I wore our bracelets from that day on our ankles on the wedding day!
