Open Question: Limos

September 30th, 2006 @ 11:56 am by Open Question

We have a wedding party of 5 guys and 5 girls, plus our parents (4 total) and us. Most of our wedding party individuals also have dates. Something we’re having a hard time figuring out is, 1) who goes in the limo 2) how to work out driving arrangements for those not in the limo 3) Who goes in the limo prior to the wedding ceremony 4) what about the dates?!

Thanks!!!

Turtle

ah! same situation here!

and what about seating at the reception? I felt so bad for my fiance when I was in a wedding, and he had to sit there at a table knowing no one. :(

I would say that the bridal side of the wedding party on the way there if you have NOT seen the groom yet for pictures. If you have…then it’s a matter of if you guys want alone time as just the two of you or if you want bonding time with the whole group.

I would definately say ONLY the wedding party, no parents or dates. The dates can drive seperately and that solves the issue of how to get people home - just give them the heads up they will have a ride there and not back. The parents probably won’t plan on being in the limo (mine wouldn’t at least) and it lets them talk a little with family before you guys get there. (My dad calls this “coming up for air before sinking down again”)

With the question about the seating about the reception, if you’re doing a sweetheart table, think of how important it is for you to have your wedding party all together. I know Ours will be close by, but at tables with people they know so they can relax and have a good time. That might solve the “dates sitting alone” issue too.
