We just mailed our save-the-dates!!! WAHOO!!!!

We live next to the post office, so just a minute ago we trotted over with our basket full of neatly-stacked, addressed envelopes and dropped them off. Here is Mr. Blueberry holding the basket:

We took them up to the counter rather than just dropping them in the slot because we wanted to make sure everything was in order. The nice lady double checked our postage and complimented me on the color of the envelopes — she even wanted to look at one of our extras to see the save-the-date inside! I love small towns :).

Everything was OK, so we took one final look at our precious babies and handed them over for mailing — hope our guests receive them soon! Most people will probably get them by Friday or Saturday. Here’s a picture of the STDs theselves:

One more big thing accomplished! Only 2,247 left to go.

Also, it’s worth mentioning that today is our 18-month anniversary of dating. That’s somewhat arbitrarily determined, though–just like our engagement anniversary.

::sigh:: At least we know for sure what our wedding anniversary will be, right?
