Unusual Sites

October 3rd, 2006 @ 11:45 am by Mrs. Blueberry

Here’s a list of some of the fun sites I’ve encountered over the course of my extensive online research. I hope you find it helpful!

Perfect Details has a great selection of classically elegant accessories–from tiaras to guestbooks, with a limited selection of shoes, purses, and other useful details. All their products are beautiful and traditional, without the typical kitsch that you see on many of those other wedding sites.

This mirror would make a great bridesmaid or junior bridesmaid’s gift ($35.00):

This shawl would be perfect for a fall or early spring wedding ($90.00):

Most of us know that Paper Source is the place to find stuff for your DIY stationery–notecards, envelopes, etc. But did you know they also sell guestbooks, paper flower kits, and journals?

This journal would be perfect for a literary-minded groomsman (about $14)!

And wouldn’t it be sweet to present the in-bathroom guest convenience baskets inside an open suitcase? (price varies depending on size):

On Signature Scent, you can create your own blend of scents–great for bridesmaid gifts, or you could even include small versions in the out-of-town guest bags–everyone can enjoy your wedding’s scent! With 55 flavors to mix and match, you can find something for everyone!

Fig Leaves has long been one of my favorite lingerie sites. They are almost always running some sort of sale or promotion, and when I’ve ordered from them in the past, shipping has been fast. We’re talking, as fast as Zappos!

They have a great selection of bridal undergarments, and would be a great place to search for a fun but tasteful lingerie shower gift.

This Betsey Johnson cami is just too cute! ($38.00)

But if you don’t mind potentially having a wedgie and panty lines on your wedding day (depending on your style of dress, of course), why not drop $50 for this “I Do” panty?

And sometimes, just what you need is right under your nose. We all know that Target has a great selection of…well…of everything! But look at everything that can be incorporated into your wedding!

Wouldn’t this disguise kit be hilarious for a lighthearted couple to incorporate into some “silly” wedding photos? (I don’t know if I’m daring enough to do it, but I’m sure it would create some memorable and funny photos!) At only $11 on clearance, pick up a couple and get the whole wedding party in on the action!

This charger could make an excellent substitute for the mirrors that everyone uses in their centerpieces (clearance for $8.49):

And what wedding is complete without your furry loves? My Maxie won’t be wearing a tutu at our wedding, but they sure don’t come cuter than this one! ($19.99-$26.99)

It just goes to show, you never know where you’ll find the perfect item for the wedding in an unexpected place! Keep your eyes open and remember–there’s a whole world of ideas outside the typical wedding sites. :)
