Simple Gold Place Card Holders

October 4th, 2006 @ 8:17 pm by Mrs. Ladybug

Sorry people. I’ve been feeling under the weather lately. We think we have a slight problem that involves bed bugs. Gross, I know. I have NO IDEA where they came from, but can you picture me trying to go to bed in the dark and constantly slapping myself in random places? I’m so paranoid and I feel so violated! I have a slight fever now. I don’t know if it’s bastard bed bug related, but my sponge bob thermometer told me that I had a slight temperature. Boo!

Question:
Where can I find gold place card holders? Not cutesy ones. Just simple, classic ones like these below. I can’t find them anywhere!! ~Miss Bird of Paradise

For those of you who are interested Miss BOP found this on Beau-coup and they only come in silver. They’re $24.00 for a set of 12 and you need to order a minimum of 2 sets. I love these. They’re so cute and simple. Unfortunately you really don’t have much of a choice on the internet. I’ve been searching for 2 days man! The gold ones I’ve been finding are “cutesy” or just plain corny, and 24 bucks for 12 of these is not a steal if you’re on a tight budget. If you’re ordering for 100 guests it’s going to come out to well over $200 for these little babies.

Here’s another one I found that’s on sale. Woohoo!

These USED to be a set of 6 for $21 but now they’re $9 on Wedding Things! Honestly if I were you Miss BOP, and this is the if-I-want-it-really-badly-then-I’m-gonna-do-it-my-way-so-I’m-gonna-have-to-diy-this side talking, I would buy one set and buy a can of gold spray paint and paint these. I think they would come out looking pretty decent. Yes you can paint metal. My husband had this Sanrio Pochacco metal trashcan (Don’t ask. I have no idea how he got this.) and instead of throwing it out I spray painted it silver. Not bad huh?

Does anyone know where you can find simple gold place card holders for Miss BOP?

I found some simple square ones from Plum Party that might work. They are currently out of stock though. Take a look…

!!! i had bedbugs at my last apartment. i lived with them for a year, and now that ive moved and taken EXTREME measures to rid myself of them, im very very paranoid and have bad dreams about them all the time!! (twice this week!)

ok this might be tmi about bedbugs… but
1. i dont think your fever is related to bedbugs.. ive never read anything about anyone having such a serious reaction..
2. they are visible to the eye.. if you do have them you should be able to find them.
3. do u end up with bites that are kind of neatly in a row? they look and itch like mosquito bites..

if in fact, you do have them, they are DAMN hard to get rid of… cleaning will not work because its not about being clean.. if you do need more info - let me know! (so sad that i am actually well versed in this problem..)

good luck and hope you feel better!
