Real Wedding: Carmen & Vaish

October 6th, 2006 @ 6:04 pm by Mrs. Ladybug

a114.jpg

Our good friends Carmen & Vaish got married 2 years ago in September. They had the ceremony and reception at Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City and actually had 2 ceremonies - one Indian and one American, and they also had the Chinese Tea Ceremony in the morning.

This isn’t wedding related but they have a dog named Nigel. Why Nigel you ask? Because Vaish wanted to name his future son Nigel and Carmen said “OH HELLZ NO!” So instead this sad little dog got stuck with this name. Carmen you’re smartly. If you named your kid Nigel I think I would even have to make fun of him.

Happy 2 year anniversary you crazy kids you!

Yes. That is correct. You are seeing a baby shove his foot into his mouth. I’m gonna have to ask him to demonstrate this for me next time I go over. Vaish, you my dawg. That’s why I blew this up. Because I love you. Muhahahaha! In the words of Paris Hilton, “That’s hot.” Remind me to remind you not to kiss me on the cheek anymore. Please don’t forget. I’m serious.

To TAT: I believe they hand stitched the invitations themselves. Well she and her sister did anyway :) Not so sure about the groom! Actually I think handstitching may have taken forever but I do know that some part of them was definitely done by hand!

Ok so Carmen saw the posting and then she saw the questions:

Orange Album Favors: Sparkle Design was a company owned by her husband’s co-worker. Carmen designed the album and he put it into production but alas, he’s since closed up shop.

Fuschia Invitations: They were handmade. After you decide on the design, go to your local fabric stores (you can also get the appliques there, which are applied by hot glue gun) for the cover. The actual invite can be printed at your local print shop. Then it gets sewn together.

Mrs. Ladybug,
Would you be able to ask your friends what travel agent they went through for Australia or if they mapped out the honeymoon themselves? I’m working on mine now and I am curious if travel agents are cheaper, the way they are for Asia flights.
