Reader Buzz: Couple Costumes

Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays and this year, Mr. Bee and I are planning on dressing up in couple’s costumes. In most Asian cultures, couples dressing alike is a very common practice.
Exhibit A: My Korea Trip 2004 - this couple is dressed head to toe in identical attire.

While I won’t take it that far (because Mr. Bee won’t let me hehe), I think Halloween is that one night of the year where you can be a little silly and fun. Last year we didn’t wear matching costumes - I was a gold digger (dressed in gold dress and accessories, miner’s pickaxe, burlap sack of gold nuggets) and Mr. Bee was Operation the game (I dyed white clothing peach, made all the pieces out of felt and glued them on).
But this year we’re going as:
A bee and a beekeeper! Haha I’m such a cheeseball. It’s like my dream come true.

You guys are so cute, Mrs. Bee! It always make me smile when you write about you two.
We will be on our honeymoon this Halloween, but next year I think we want to be Mario and Luigi.
at first when you said gold digger, i pictured tight fitted clothes with a lot of makeup and a lot of bling..hahaha i love the bee and beekeeper idea…it’s so cute and original.
my FI and i thought about dressing up as the jolly green giant (since he’s 6′5″) and the pea pod (since i’m 5′3″) but he said he needs to get more fit since right now he’d be the jolly green love handles.
hhahah that’s adorable!
i love halloween too (dress my dog up and all) but this year we’ll be on our honeymoon in italy so i’m not sure that’ll work out all that well..
how delightful and creative! My darling and I are going as Alice in Wonderland and the White Rabbit.

FI is going to be a sumo wrestler and I’m going to be some sort of hip geisha girl.

and to advertise this site, add a veil to your costume, and a “.com” on your back.
Such a cute idea!!! Last year my bf and I were a pair of Aces since poker was the “it” thing! We drew the card on cardboard paper and strung yarn through it to wear it
We’re going as pregnant britney spears (wife beater tank, trucker hat, no shoes, and bohemian skirt, kabala bracelet) and K-Fed (wife beater, trucker hat, baggy shorts and nikes with the tongue hangin out)
HAHAHAHAHAA this is so friggin cute!
My husband and I are thinking of going as Wesley and Princess Buttercup from one of our faves: The Princess Bride.

we saw a costume of salt & pepper… i looked at him & asked him if he wanted to be that… & he gave me the funniest face… umm no…
not that i wanted to be that… just wanted to get his reaction

Where did you find the beekeeper costume?? I’m going as a bumblebee this year, and we’re trying to find a beekeeper costume for my boyfriend, but so far I can’t find anything other than expensive real beekeeper suits!
