It's been exhausting but totally worth every minute of it. About Mrs. Apple

I was just thinking about how my wedding is only 7 months away and I haven’t yet decided where to have my bachelorette party. It’s actually going to be a triple bachelorette party since two of my good friends are also getting married in summer/spring 2007 - one in Chicago and the other in Germany. So the three B2B’s thought this would be a great opportunity to have some bonding time by meeting up with old friends and creating new ones.

Our three day weekend would consist of :

Day 1: Nice intimate dinner in the city - maybe bar hopping after.

Day 2: All Day Spa Treatment (facials, deep tissue massage, body wraps, pedi & manicures), dinner & “entertainment.”

Day 3: Brunch and shop.

Here are our top picks to have our b-party :

Colorado - hot springs, scenic views of mountains, comfy & relaxed setting, Garden of the Gods & Pikes Peak (My personal favorite since I love walking trails and being on the mountain top to look at the beautiful views!)

Chicago - FOOD ( I heard Chicago has the best restaurants) , shop Michigan Avenue, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Museums.

NYC - Gray’s Papaya, The Metropolitan Museum, Shopping along 57th Steet & Madison Avenue, anything and everything else!

We’re leaning towards NYC since we have a few friends who live there so it would be the most convienient for all of us.

Rate it All.com - rated the best bachelorette party cities. I’ve listed the top 7 cities below.

1) Key West (*****) stars
2) San Fransisco (*****) stars
3) Chicago (****) stars
4) Cabo San Lucas (****) stars
5) NYC (***) stars
6) Ibiza (***) stars
7) Las Vegas (***) stars

Where are you having your b-party? What would be your top city pick?

I had 2 actually - one in Montreal with my 3 closest friends and then one in NYC with everyone that lived here. Both were very different and had a great time at both. I love Montreal and all the girls loved it too.

I’m just going out in town and having a few drinks with female friends. 2/3 of my bridal party live across the country so it would be financially difficult to have them fly over for something besides the wedding.

I’m also going to my sister’s (also out of town, but close) for an evening of drinking wine & watching movies with her and my mom and maybe a couple of other friends.

People in my area don’t really do the huge bachelorette parties so much.

the girls have been talking, and I think we are doing something similar to your idea. a 3 day weekend trip for us. probably to CA since it’s just a drive away. and I hope it involves a beach!

My girls said that they will go wherever I want, so I am now choosing between Vegas and Miami. I am leaning towards Vegas since most of us live in NYC, and we can always get away to Miami.

I think your top 3 choices are pretty good, but I would like to suggest an obvious choice that isn’t on your list: Paris, France! Think about it- just a few hours longer than a flight to San Francisco from New York, and you’re gallivanting around the City of Lights with your best girlfriends!- Paris hits all of the points on your list and then some: Intimate dinner in the city? Everywhere you look! Spa treatments? Paris has some of the most sumptuous day spas in the world. Entertainment, shopping, museums- not to mention being one of the most beautiful and historic cities to boot- Paris has it all!

My sister has to do the planning, but I want to have it in Chicago. It’s only a couple hours away and I think it would be so much fun. :)

I just got back from Miami for a Bachelorette Party. We all had the best time ever… you can also drive to Key West, which is only about 4 hours away from South Beach!

Chicago or New York sounds fun. What about San Francisco?
