I had originally wanted peonies in my bridal bouquet but in March, peonies are not in season (FYI: Peonies are in season May-June; very short). So I had to come up with an alternative and found this beautiful flower - the ranunculus. I should warn that of the four florists I interviewed, they all commented on how delicate and fragile this flower is. It also does not come cheap.
According to theknot.com, “carrying a bouquet of ranuculus… in the Victorian language of flowers… means ‘I am dazzled by your charm.” With my bouquet made of pale and dark pink roses and ranunculus, Mr. Orange should see that I am “dazzled by his charm, radiant with gratitude and joy.” (The Flower Expert - Flower Meaning)
