About Mrs. Blueberry

Women and children to the cellar! Board up the windows! THE NAPKINS ARE COMING!!!

Actually, they’re already here. So are the matchbooks, but you don’t see anyone freaking out about them.

It all looks good, though:

We got 300 of those babies, and are going to mix them with 300 more plain silver ones (from Party America or someplace) to save $$$.

For a cocktail reception, the guidelines are 4-5 napkins per guest. Hence 600 napkins total. That seems a bit high to me, but it’s not like we’ll stop using napkins after the wedding. I mean, wouldn’t these look fantastic with a cheese-leaking Lean Pocket sitting atop them? Perhaps in a few years they can clean up the face of our future child. Now isn’t that a sweet image? :P Or I can just hang onto any extras for 25 years and have them be a vintage touch at our Silver anniversary celebration.

And the matchbooks, which are sad because no one is making a big to-do about them. But they are loved too:

I’m really happy with how they turned out. :) Ordered them from The Stationery Studio and their service was fine, though it took about 3 weeks to receive them (I assume because of the extra time necessary for printing everything)–so if you’ve got a huge time crunch they might not be the best choice.

Also, I got my toasting flutes! Check ‘em out:

I ordered them from this site. They’re actually just a bit larger than the flutes I’m used to but hey, I’m sure by the wedding day I’ll be needing a big glass–save me trips to the bar :P. Plus, Mr. Blueberry will want to drink his sorrows away, I’m sure. lol.

A Custom Engraver (who I ordered the flutes from) even has this helpful cartoon on their front page!

Fantastic! I’m so glad they were able to show this in picture form to put my mind at ease. The fact that they look like the people in the illustrations in my Spanish book throws me off a bit, though.

Aah, much better. And for the record, my translation’s probably not right. My Spanish skills aren’t what one would call “good”, despite my three semesters of formal training.

Cute napkins (and matchbooks…can’t forget those)! It’s funny that you said that about having a ton left over and wiping the faces of your future children. One day when I was 8 or so, my mom found a bunch of her custom wedding napkins that had been sitting in a cupboard — we thought they were so cool! In fact, I think my sister and I insisted on only using the pink wedding napkins until they were gone. Lol.

My napkins and matches came today as well! I can relate to your excitement. Congrats! I used http://www.foryourparty.com and would absolutely recommend them.
