New at Kenzie Kate

October 11th, 2006 @ 7:03 pm by Mrs. Bee

Our friend KenzieKate is unveiling two gorgeous new invitation designs, and needs help naming them so let’s give her a hand!

new invites2.jpg

The first one is my take on a beach wedding invite, the second used Mexican silver jewelry as an inspiration, but is pretty enough that it could work in so many other colors as well…. I like to name all my invites after cities. I usually choose cities that sort of embody the spirit of the invite in my mind.

Haha, Mrs. Bee, you’re funny! The coral one reminds me of Australia/The Great Barrier Reef. Perhaps you can name it “Brisbane”, though I’m not sure if that sounds exotic enough. And the silver one reminds me of Spain.

hmmm…the jewelry one actually looks wintery to me. So, I would name it Geneva or Vienna.

The coral one could be Charleston. Is that not beachy enough? It sort of has a graceful quality to me.

The coral reminds me of the cliffs of Negril in Jamaica, but I am biased. ;-)

The jewelry one reminds me of snowflakes. And the intricate design makes me think old world romance. How about St. Petersburg?

Both are gorgeous, btw. =o)

Beach: Monterey. I love Monterey!

The silver one is giving me a Baroque French vibe, so: Lille.
If you want to keep the colonial era Mexican theme, perhaps La Paz?

The first one reminds me of St. Kitts. I don’t know why - but that’s what came to mind.

The coral conjures Saba near St. Kitts.

The silver reflects somewhere delicate, green in the spring and summer and cold yet refreshing the rest of the year–Endinburgh, Dublin, Oslo, or Kobenhavn.

1- Mendocino (coastal, abalone diving, corals, marine life etc etc)

2- Prague (the color combination and the intricate design made me think of Prague immediately…=D)

I like Cozumel, but for the first one. It actually kinda reminds me of the snorkeling.

For the second, I’d name it Aspen. Mazatlan might work, too, though.
