Kompeito is a Japanese candy originally made in Portugal.
It’s basically a sugar candy, but look at the variation in colors. So pretty :).
Mr. Orange and I are leaning towards this tasty and very sweet confection for our favors (wrapped individually by the vendor for 210 yen each.) Mama Orange will be in charge of ordering them in Japan and will bring them over in March.
Other candidates for our favors were –
Lacquered chopsticks (White Aisle)
The librarian part of me, not the Japanese part, likes these bookmarks for favors LOL. (Impressive Inscription)

Yum! A friend of mine brought candy like that back to the states from Japan… they are yummy!
personally, i like the chopsticks a lot…
… but my feeling is, i love when you bring your own personality and character into weddings - so if you’re a reader, then i would opt for the bookmark, because it tells more about you!
