Non-Traditional Bouquets

October 18th, 2006 @ 12:51 pm by Mrs. Peach

This beautiful bouquet graced the cover of Martha Stewart Weddings Spring 2006 magazine:

Can you believe, it’s made of tissue paper? It even includes cute leaves (hidden in the picture above):

Her website includes detailed directions on how to make such a lovely bouquet.

Here are some other unique non-traditional bouquet ideas…

Flowers are mixed in with glass bubbles for a light airy look:

Rather than a bouquet, this is a flower ball that is carried by the bride by a dangling ribbon:

A bouquet that is very similar to Miss Blueberry’s, but with the addition of pearls:

And lastly, a bouquet made of 1000 Colones Notes from a couple’s trip to Costa Rica:

As for me, I think I’ll try making Martha Stewart’s tissue paper bouquet. I will post my results in a few weeks. My only concern… what if it rains?? Hahaha~

Awesome bouquet. Flowers are so expensive. This is a great alternative.

Yup. I know the photo well. I tore it out of my mag, sent it to my florist and said, these, I like these! She emailed me and say, hon? do you know those are paper flowers?

CC–oh, these bouquets can get expensive too! Fory 652-stem Swarovski crystal bouquet, my 300-stem bridesmaid’s Swarovski crystal bouquet, and three boutonnieres, the cost was about $400!!! I also know nothing about Costa Rican currency exchange rates for that last one pictured….

The tissue paper one is SO pretty! I did a double take when I saw it–I love it!
