My Something Blue

After lots of research I found a wonderful silk chamuese garter on angelthreadnyc.com. I decided on a white one to match my dress. And I’m getting silver lettering for the monogram on the outside and blue lettering for the date on the inside. Yea!! I hope it’s as beautiful as it is online.

Thanks for the post — I was wondering, how many of you are going to wear a garter?

I know lots of brides that are eliminating both the garter and the bride’s bouquet toss.

i’m not doing either tosses either, but i still wanted a garter. since it’s my something blue, i plan to wear it down the aisle, then take it off. then, i’ll put it on again before i leave the reception & head to our hotel room. i know it’s silly, but i feel like it’s a part of my bridal get-up.

I don’t think I am wearing one. I saw somewhere that you could get a garter with a sports team logo. FH loves baseball..so I think it would be funny to surprise him with me wearing a red sox one

My shoes will be my something blue.

We wore garters to prom, which struck me as weird and inappropriate. It was also itchy and uncomfortable, so I took it off about 30 mins into the dance.

So, um, no, I won’t be wearing one!
