My Wedding Band Is Here!!!

October 19th, 2006 @ 3:38 pm by Mrs. Butterfly

I know I posted a pic of it last time, but that was not a good picture. With some help from Miss Blueberry’s post, I was able to take a couple of decent pictures of the band. Without further ado…..*drum rolllllll*

With flash

3 Marquis diamonds, adorned with 6 round diamonds on top and bottom for a total of 0.5 carats. The color and clarity are very close to my e-ring. My e-ring is an F, VS2 and I believe this is an F/G, VS1/VS2?

Unfortunately, my e-ring really doesn’t allow for me to wear two bands on one hand. I mean, I guess technically you could, but I haven’t found a single wedding band that actually looks good with my e-ring.

Like Mrs. Spider before me, I had contemplated the U-shaped band. I have seen a few people with the U-shaped band, and I think it looks wonderful on them. However, it just doesn’t go with my e-ring.

So I will be wearing them on separate hands: E-ring on my right, and the wedding band on my left.

How will you be wearing your rings?

Love the band, beautiful and unique! I’m going to get a band that matches the band of my e-ring and wear the two together.

I bought a wedding band that will sit flush enough next to my e-ring. So I will wear them together and probably solder the two rings together. I have a very wearable smallish diamond solitare in my e-ring. And I love it.

I love your wedding band! It’s very pretty. I’m not a fan of the u-shaped wedding bands, they don’t stand alone. Down the road I will probably want to just wear the wedding band everyday and wear the engagement ring on special occasions.
Yours is a great choice for wearing the rings on seperate hands, it looks great by itself!

My wedding band sits flush with my e-ring. All of the stones on each line up too…we were excited and lucky to find it :) It is a little fun to have the bling all together too ;)

Until reading about it on Weddingbee I had never heard of wearing the wedding band separate from the e-ring. I will always wear mine together. Funny story - when my husband proposed to me and handed me the box with my e-ring in it, it already had the band! I asked him if we were getting married right then! LOL ;)

I have a three-stone ring and my wedding band is kind of a u-band. I wasn’t crazy about it, but I really wanted to wear them at the same time, and that’s the only way it would work.

I just found out that the only way I can have engraving is if they are soldered together, because they both are so thin, and they will add extra gold on the inside to inscribe. I am excited about that — for a while I didn’t think I could have any engraving.

But now my engagement ring is at the jeweler getting soldered and engraved and I can’t wear my engagement ring until I get married next week, because it is bad luck to wear the wedding band before the wedding!

It’s gorgeous! A shame it won’t fit with your e-ring, but I think it’s totally fine to switch your e-ring to the right hand after the wedding.

Glad my photo tips helped :-)

Love the rings! Can I ask where did your engagement ring come from?

due to the setting, i don’t think my engagement ring and wedding band will sit flush together. i mentioned to FI that i was thinking about wearing them on separate fingers, and fi was silent, and then said, “no way.”

it’s not a big deal to me, so i guess i will just be happy with the tiny little gap between them!

that’s the setting i want for my e-ring! except with peridot sidestones…it looks like a flower. i’ll have to save this post for later.

i do like your band though. i really like the lvy/weave look.

LOVE your wedding band! very unique! Never seen anything like it before! I got a curve band that’s custom made with the e ring. good thing my FMIL is in the jewelry business so she made both e ring and wedding band thus i am able to match them together! but YAY! for your wedding band! beautiful!

I love your band! I will be wearing my engagement ring on my left hand with my band on the right. Sadly, my two “ring fingers” are different sizes…so I cannot interchange them. Once again, great ring!

My e-ring is very similar to yours and my wedding band is a round, channel setting with diamonds all the way around. If I wore the 2 together it would be way too much bling for my workplace. I’m thinking I’ll wear the e-ring on my right hand except for special occasions. I also have my grandmother’s e-ring which is beautiful and art deco style so I might wear that with my wedding band and my e-ring on my right hand.

Hihi…..ur wedding band is quite diff ..i like it…my e-ring is simiar to urs..except it’s all round-brilliant diamonds…so i find that it’s really hard to find a wedding band to match it too…cuz ones with diamonds will be too much together….maybe i’ll wear my e-ring on special occasions .
