DeLuscious Cookies

October 20th, 2006 @ 10:44 am by Mrs. Lime

Miss Strawberry’s entry on her milk + cookies favor idea reminded me of an amazing gift we once received from a client. It was a dozen, individually packaged, freshly-baked cookies in the cutest packaging from DeLuscious. They also came with a quart of whole milk from Broguiere’s Farm Fresh Dairy, a local dairy that is known for making and packaging milk the old-fashioned way. The cute vintage glass bottles are great too. It was such an indulgent and decadent gift, while not being stuffy at all.

DeLuscious are delivery only and do not have a retail storefront. They could be a perfect midnight snack or parting gift for your reception guests, if you timed the delivery right [not sure if they have after-hours delivery available, though].

Oh, and the cookies are indeed delicious + luscious = deLuscious. My personal faves of the ones I’ve tried are oatmeal chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, and chocolate decadence. Sense a trend here? The chocolate decadence is like no cookie you’ve had before. It’s so rich, it crumbles as you pick it up because it’s so soft, literally melts in your mouthy, and it’s oh-so-slightly glazed adding a little extra sweetness to balance out the richness of the bittersweet chocolate.

i found these milk bottle vases while perusing the online site for World Market. Perhaps Miss Strawberry could use them for centerpieces on the table where the cookies are displayed instead of sending the milk home with the guests.

i also just saw these milk bottle candle holders that i think would look lovely and nostalgic with the cookies.
