I think I’ve finally got all my wedding-day jewelry figured out!
I plan on covering myself in all the jewels that are important to me…I’ve already got two holes in each ear lobe and one in each cartiledge, so I’m going to fill them all with one representative of each of my favorite pairs of earrings…I figure it’s a unique look. Plus, since I’ve got my nose pierced I can put one more in there. But of course it won’t be a dangly earring because that might look like a booger in some of the pictures.
Then, inspired by this picture - only without the whole pregnancy thing, of course… I’m going to wear one of my most favorite earrings in my belly button piercing! Yesss!!!!
I own so much jewelry that I love and has special significance to me, I just couldn’t imagine not wearing it all on my wedding day!!!

OK if you believed *any* of that you need some help.
Here’s what I’m actually planning on doing.
I found these for $24 in a bead shop in Kansas City:

They’re sterling silver and Swarovski crystals, though I don’t think the pearls are real. These will be my focal jewelry, because I’m usually pretty modest in my jewelry–I really do have all the piercings I mentioned above (two in each earlobe, one in each cartilage, nose, and bellybutton) but I’ll be looking pretty conservative on my wedding day. I don’t plan on having the piercings for the rest of my life and don’t necessarily want them to show up in my wedding photos–a constant reminder of how dumb I was when I was in my early 20’s :D.
I have a pair of 1/5 ct. tw. diamond studs I’ve had since forever; I’ll probably wear those in my second holes. My nose has been pierced for about a year now and I think I can safely remove the piercing for a whole day (I’ve done so before for stuff like job interviews) without it closing up. My cartiledge piercings are a bit trickier. I’ve had the left ear done for close to two years now and I think the piercing is fairly classy (i.e. it could be a lot worse, lol), but I’ve never removed it before. I keep going back and forth on that one…

And here’s my right ear. The piercing will be about a year old by the time the wedding comes around, but because it is in my helix I’m severly limited in how often I can remove it and what I can put in it (i.e. I can’t just easily stick in a clear retainer or small stud).

I’m going to go talk to my piercer pretty soon and see if he’s got any ideas…maybe I’m wrong, maybe there is a small retainer I can put in just for that day, or something. I’ll report back on that :).
For the rest of my wedding day jewelry, I plan on wearing the classic, the elegant: pearls. I’ve got a simple strand of pearls in a necklace that’s (I think) 16″ long, and a matching bracelet. Since my chandelier earrings are so large and intricate I’ll wear the simple pearls to keep the look fresh and minimal.
Do you have any unconventional piercings? What are you planning on doing with them for the wedding?
