My MOH Dress

This past weekend I asked my MOH to try on her dress so I could post pictures and blog about how cute and adorable it looks on her! The dress was perfect in every way including the price tag - sale baby sale!

Her dress isn’t the typical wedding bridesmaid dress - it’s a buttercream colored Betsey Johnson dress consisting of chiffon lace and has that vintage feel to it. I love the texture of the dress and it will look perfect in my spring garden ceremony. I love the romantic and whimsical feel of the dress - it suits her well. I didn’t want to get her a conventional bridesmaid dress because it’s really not my style. I prefer something unique with a little more detail, and love weddings that capture the couple’s tastes. Plus, I really wanted to get her a dress that she would wear again.

I’ve posted pictures from different angles of the dress. We’re going to switch out the ribbon for a thicker brown band/ribbon and it looks like it needs to be steamed - I see creases! Hargh Hargh Hargh!

Any suggestions on what color/style of shoes to pair with this dress?

I found these cute slingbacks on http://www.zappos.com/ but I’m not sure if I like the big jewel in the middle?

I think maybe a pair of shoes in the same color as the ribbon on the dress would be nice. It will bring the color out more so be all one color with the dress.

I think this dress is gorgeous! I’m glad you’re switching the thin ribbon to a thicker one. That would go much better. For the shoes, I think you should go with something simple and sleek since the dress is already very detailed on its own.

you’re right that dress is very original for an MOH.. very nice. I think champagne colored shoes, or even brown shoes that match the sash would look great with the dress..
