About Mrs. Lily

I Heart Sugar

October 23rd, 2006 @ 12:46 pm by Mrs. Lily

When the cat’s away the mice will play. Or, in my case, when Mr. Lily is out of town I bake (and paint the town red with the girls, of course!).

I am having a candy buffet at the wedding and would like to make one or two things for it because I love baking. This plan may blow up in smoke if I get wedding crazy, but it gave me a good excuse to feed my sweet tooth. This weekend I tried making milk chocolate covered pretzels with white chocolate (dyed green) drizzled on top. For a first time effort, it turned out pretty good. They taste awesome and don’t look half bad… now my freezer is full of treats!

Chocolate covered pretzels…YUM!!! I already have them on my list of things to have on my own candy buffet…along with chocolate covered almonds too. :-) For any brides not wanting to go DIY like Miss Lily, Bulkfoods.com have a great price on both!!

Hi Laura, I don’t know what I’m serving yet. I’m going to look into coordinating candy closer to my wedding date! It will probably depend on what’s available :-)

If you don’t already have/use one, a fondue pot is great for making chocolate-dipped food. I have one and I love it. :)
