Will You Be My Bridesmaid?

October 23rd, 2006 @ 3:40 pm by Mrs. Bee

One of the many blogs I read - VivaLaMonkee - baked mini wedding cakes to ask her bridesmaids to be in her wedding party. They were pretty darn cute so I asked her if I could share the pics with you guys, and she said yes! :D

Voila!

The finished products placed on silver doilies.

Then over to the florist the next day to pick up mini bouquets…

Finally VivaLaMonkee spent 10 hours driving 200 miles in Los Angeles traffic to ask her four bridesmaids in person. 8O She even got a parking ticket that day. :( But all of her bridesmaids happily accepted yay!

Each received the following package: mini wedding cake, mini bouquet, will you be my bridesmaid card, and a two peas in a pod salt and pepper shaker set.

Asking your bridesmaids in a special way lets them know just how much you appreciate and love them. :)

This looks awesome. I would loved to have done something like this, but a) I’m not that clever and b) my bridesmaids live all over the USA so there’d be some pretty squashed cake traveling through the postal service…

VivaLaMonkee, that’s fantastic!! I’ve seen those baking sets with specially-shaped pans for individual cakes. These are just as cute and much easier to make. You’re so clever!!

Very impressive. Everyone already knows that’s going to be in my wedding party, and we haven’t even “technically” gotten engaged yet. Lovely, huh?
