October 25th, 2006 @ 6:45 pm by Mrs. Bee

VivaLaMonkee posted about this site where you can order a free ring sizer. She received hers today:

And made this while bored at work:

So what’s your ring size?

bluenile offers one, too. i don’t have the link handy, but you can probably google it.

my ring is a 4.75, but i lost weight since we picked it out, so i am probably closer to a 4.5 right now. it’s a bit loose :(

Jeez, you ladies have TINY fingers! I’m like a 7.5. I was a 9, but after losing 60 pounds…7.5! :D

3.75, but my e-ring is a 4 so it’s a little loose right now.

Wow I thought my fingers were pretty small but you girls have *tiny* fingers! I’m a 6.5 :-)

mine’s a 7 but my current ring is a little loose on me…so maybe a fraction smaller?

I’m not a big ring wearer, I don’t wear my e-ring that much anymore. I thought that I was a size 6, but it’s actually a size 5.

I wear 4.75, but I should probably wear a 4.5. I like it a little loose.

My fingers are the only thing that’s small about me. My wedding gown was a size 16. ;)

I’m a 7.5 — although my ring is a LOT loose right now, so my actual size is probably smaller. Everyone here has teeny tiny fingers!!

i’m a 3. i know, the jeweler was shocked too. i’m regular sized everywhere though, i’m 5′5” and 125 pounds. i actually think your finger will get use to the ring and shrink a little, it didnt use to be this loose.

If there was a contest to the smallest ring-finger size, I might win —– 3.5 :)

I’m not engaged but my ring finger on my right hand is 3.75. I have a feeling my left ring finger will be smaller.

3.5 but it spins a little at the base haha. I’m getting little balls added to keep it from moving :-)

4.25 - but i agree..i think your finger gets “used to” the ring and gets dented, which makes the ring looser…finding the right size is so tricky!

I’m a 5, and I definitely feel the finger denting phenomenon. I think this is another argument in favour of promise rings! I’m not actually engaged, but he gave me a gorgeous promise ring and my finger is getting used to wearing it, so the p-ring is a little loose now but hopefully my future e-ring will fit perfectly! (P.S. Is it bizarre that I read Weddingbee without actually being engaged???)

P.S. http://www.e-weddingbands.com also offers a free sizer.. that’s where I got mine from, though I didn’t end up buying from them… nice stuff and prices on their site though! I must warn that the sizers are pretty cheap and plastic-y and don’t compare to the ones used at a jeweler’s. :)

Looks like my finger isn’t odd! That’s good to know.

3…but since I wanted my ring to be a little loose, the jewler made the ring a “full” size 3. I have no clue what that means!

Lulu - I’m not technically engaged yet either. I have a promise ring, and the wedding’s not until 2009/2010…lots of us non-engageds running around here ;)

I’m in the same boat as LK, size 3 baby! But I’m paranoid I’ll get bloated or *gasp* gain weight, so I had them make a 3.5 and had the jeweler solder (is that how you spell it?) two balls on the inside of my ring, so it fits like a 3. If I ever gain weight, instead of resizing the the whole ring, I just have them sand off those two balls. I’ll sand off my FI’s balls too, if he ever crosses me! hahaha j/k… no I’m not…

Another 3 here! Had the engagement ring sized at 3.25 so it’ll still fit when/if finger grow. Wedding band is a 3. Kind of a pain because everything has to be custom done!
