Whatever Our Souls Are Made Of

October 25th, 2006 @ 10:29 am by Mrs. Violet

I pushed aside all my etsy projects, and focused on my own scrapbook Sunday night (not a friend’s or client’s, but my own). The last time I scrapped for myself was for a Bermuda trip (2 years ago) that I have yet to finish. Here’s a tip - don’t overwhelm yourself by thinking that you can scrap a whole vacation. Don’t go printing out all 50 pictures you want included. I have a heap of photos just lying around waiting to be scrapped. Then I feel guilty for only getting a few pages done. Just print what you’re planning on scrapping for the day. It’s also okay to just scrap a page here and there - don’t feel bad that you didn’t get the entire trip or event.

Without further ado, our engaged layout in Paris.

The 3/4 hour that it took me to make this page brought back very fond memories. It was indeed a special moment. Notice the quote - it’s a rub-on transfer that I’ve been saving for ages to use and I finally found a good reason to use it. My ring looks really small in the picture. I think my next layout should be devoted entirely to my ring.. hehe.. silly.gif Also, the picture on the bottom left, was the exact spot where he proposed (with Notre Dame in the background). I think I was a bit disoriented at the time. My thoughts at the time - (did he really just propose and did I not hear it? He chose Paris of all places to propose!!!) blush5.gif

Materials used: (for those interested) ribbon, cardstock, paint, foam stamp, stickers, scrapbook paper

Oh - my 2peas name is: waisze

I also devoted some time to making Sam’s very first scrapbook page. She was a few months old here and it was her first experience with snow. Sam loved it. She had so much fun running through the pure, fluffy snow and didn’t care that she got herself all wet.

those pages look nice and well worth the time and effort. i only wish i had the patience and attention-span for that. i can hardly knit for 5 minutes! unless i’m watching football. which is weird but neither here nor there.

L - The quote reads: “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same” Emily Bronte, my fave quote.
