Bridezilla-ish?

October 26th, 2006 @ 4:45 pm by Mrs. Strawberry

On a scale from 1 to 10…how psycho is it for me to get aprons for the serving staff in my wedding colors? And how psycho is it if I monogram them as well? Sometimes, I cross the line between cute and crazy.

It’s a great idea — a tad on the perfectionist end of things, but really cute!

I thought about exactly this idea too but decided that it would cost too much and my fiance (and probably everybody else) would think I’m nuts!

If you have a huge wedding budget then it could be a very cool addition but if not it seems like a waste because the servers aren’t going to keep the aprons and what are you going to do with a bunch of monogramed aprons? You might be able to ask that your servers wear something color corrdinated though, and it might not be something you have to buy yourself. Its worth asking if you really like the idea.

Getting them aprons: not crazy. Expensive maybe, but not crazy.

Monogramming the aprons: Whoa, back off from the crazy juice!

As long as the servers are willing to wear them (not against some dress code or something) I say go for it if its what you want!

I completely agree–it’s a cute idea, but crazy to execute! :) I was only half serious with this post!

Haha I think that is pretty cool. (Does that mean I’m crazy too?!?) If you have the budget for it, I think you should do it. ;)

i totally remember this wedding; she’s one of the weddingbee featured knotties. personally, i thought that was a nice personal touch, albeit somewhat excessive (and expensive!).

That’s be really cute but spend the money elsewhere.

totally cute!!

but… the staff probably wouldn’t keep them, and you probably wouldn’t want them back if they’ve been used/dirtied by other people.

if it’s the monogrammed apron part (vs. the coordinating servers part) that’s the most appealing to you, maybe you can get a set for you and your hubby for your first cooked meal at home together!

I think it’s great- if it is in your budget and only takes a day to plan, do it! I would definately be one of the guests that would notice all the little details and really appreciate it.

Of all the ideas I’ve seen on Weddingbee - and many are so far in left field I just sit at my computer and shake my head - this one is actually one that I think is FABULOUS!

After the event - you can give the BM’s , Family members an Apron as a reminder. I love it!

I’m not sure I’d want a used monogrammed apron, unless it was my monogram. And, seriously, how many people that aren’t currently involved with wedding planning would notice the monogrammed aprons?
