Engagement Party = Success!

Miss Sunflower, New York Age and Occupation: 26, Speech-Language Pathologist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 31, Slave to the MTA Engagement Date: August 12, 2006 Wedding Date: April 2008 Venue: Jericho Terrace, New York About Me: Mr. Sunflower & I have been together for 3 years and to this day, he laughs at me when I tell him that I knew on our first date that I was going to marry him. Well, the most recent events prove, yet again, that I know everything. Most of my time these days involves planning and getting inspiration for our wedding, but when I'm not doing that, I enjoy shopping, movies, reading, writing, and making attempts at being crafty.

Our engagement party (two Sundays ago) was a total success! The food was fabulous, the decorations looked great, my menus came in handy (especially for the great aunts and uncles, who kind of get lost in the shuffle when a buffet is involved), and everyone had a great time! Here are some photos from the affair:

Everything was very nice. We had bouquets of pearlized lavender and white balloons on each table, along with the cookie trays, menus, and mini bags of M&Ms (which also disappeared prior to dinner). I asked my future SIL to take pictures of each table’s set-up while I was talking to guests, but…alas, she did not. I was sad for a few days…oh well. I got over it
