Just Call Me Martha

October 31st, 2006 @ 11:02 am by Mrs. Peach

Remember back when I posted the tissue paper bouquet on one of Martha Stewart’s wedding magazines? Well, I finally got around to trying to make one. I was going to wait until I made 25 flowers ie. a full bouquet, but I got so excited at how they were turning out I just had to show you now.

Here are the two main flowers I picked (from Martha Stewart Weddings):

Here’s Martha’s bouquet:

And here’s mine (mini version):

Whatdya think?? I probably won’t use it for my bouquet, but I’m definitely going to be incorporating these some other way, perhaps in center pieces or church aisle decorations or something!! ^_^

Miss Peach says:

It’s hard to quantify the exact time it took me because I was helping my younger sister with college apps on and off… but my guess would be 1.5 hours? Only because I was doing it for the first time; I think once you learn how to make one, it won’t take nearly as long to make more.

I think they look very nice. I had been toying with the idea of making one of those bouquets (that’s my main reason for buying that magazine this summer) and when I saw how good it looked in your pics, I was like, Holy crap, I have to do that! Thanks for helping me to make that decision!

Miss Peach, how do you get your blooms to look so good? I’ve been trying, but I can’t seem to get the hang of it. Do you have any tips?

Marni says:

I have been trying to get the instructions off of MarthaStewart.com, but it says the page has been moved. Do you still have then and would you be able to e-mail them to me?
