Update: I talked to my parents and they agreed to a trial run of bringing the cats to KC. So when we go down there this weekend they’ll be coming with us and then staying in my parents’ basement. They have a big ol’ house with a finished basement, and a door to separate the basement from the house’s lower level. So the cats will have the run of the computer room, TV room, basement bathroom and second kitchen for the duration of our two-day stay. If this goes well, they may get to stay with us when we go to KC for the wedding. If it doesn’t, well, at least we’ll know. Wish us luck.

You already met Maxie, now meet two of my other furbabies:
Othello:

And Macbeth:

They live with Mr. Blueberry and me here in our college town, and we’re not quite sure what to do with them during the wedding. They can’t stay with Mr. Blueberry’s parents since they have a non cat-friendly-dog, and it wouldn’t really work for them to stay with mine since they also have a dog (Maxie), plus another cat. We can’t just leave them here and have someone stop by occasionally, since that’s not fair to them, plus most of our friends will be down in KC for the wedding.
So I guess they’ll have to go in a kennel until we get back from our minimoon.
That just breaks my heart. Macbeth especially is just such a tender, sensitive baby that I don’t think he’d be happy at all living in a little cake. Othello is an attention whore and would love Charles Manson if he came in the front door and patted him on the head, so I don’t think he’ll mind the kennel.
