I’m sure there’s some seasonal considerations here to. With Fl, as well as the whole gulf coast region, summer is just crazy hot, and you’ve also got the threat of hurricane season and afternoon showers. spring and fall are really about the same as far as weather goes, and winters are pretty mild. Having a winter wedding in FL has got to be a bit easier than one in NYC.

i’m with you fizzyg. i initially wanted a late october wedding, but those dates weren’t available. it was either early october or november. after katrina/rita, i figured november was the safe choice and went with that.

I didn’t realize the fall was so popular! I’m getting married in early fall in Pennsylvania. I’m hoping the leaves will have started to change by then, but I think it might be too early for that.

i chose summer just because i work in a school, and it’s the longest time off i can get…i’ve worked the last few summers, so i’m looking forward to a nice long honeymoon & vacation! :)

You know, it’s funny because in all of the bridal mags it says the most popular is Summer! I never understood why, but all our price quotes were more in the summer. I love fall, maybe that’s why our wedding is fall squared!!

we chose our wedding date based on how long it would take to plan out wedding after being engaged. getting married in march actually worked out great because we didn’t have to compete for vendors since it was an off season. But a gorgeous fall wedding would have been my dream… i just couldn’t wait that long. ;)

I would love to get married in the fall, but I’m trying to plan around the school schedule so it’s easier for everyone I know. My summer wedding is going to be incredibly hot, I’d kill for a fall wedding!

my parents insisted on a summer wedding; they are both avid gardeners, and their garden and the venues garden looks best in the summer.

I’m getting married next fall. its so hot where i live, there are only like 3 or 4 months out of the year that its comfortable enough to get married! there’s not really a “fall” here, but dang it, the weather is beautiful! :)
