Our 4 Year Anniversary

November 2nd, 2006 @ 4:39 pm by Mrs. Raspberry

This very unflattering picture is us on our first date!

hayride1.jpg

I (yes, I was the one to take action) took Mr. Raspberry to my Chi Omega Hayride! I had a broken foot from completing my first marathon, we had a race for crew that day and we still managed to make it out for a little fun in the country!

We realized this morning that this is the last time we will celebrate this day as our anniversary!

Do you still celebrate the anniversary of your first date? Or if you’re married, do you just celebrate your wedding anniversary?

Well, we’re celebrating our 4th dating anniversary 2 days before we get married next year. I doubt we’ll celebrate it after that since the days are so close, but I’m sure we’ll remark about it! Btw. that’s a GOOD picture!

Congratulations! We just celebrated our 4 year a couple weeks ago, and we’re getting married a couple weeks before you it looks like, so we’re on the exact same schedule. :-)

I thought it was really cool how this was our last time celebrating our dating anniversary and kept saying that, but I’m sure we’ll still make note of it and maybe have a nicer than usual dinner, but we won’t really “celebrate” it after we’re married.

I am totally not an anniversary person - I prefer when we have date night “just because” or silly little days here and there that end up feeling like celebrations for no particular reason. (I also hate Valentine’s Day - I know I am SUCH a guy!).

I guess having a wedding anniversary is different, but since we picked a random day because our venue was free, it just doesn’t feel “real” yet. I’m sure it will after the wedding, though!

Heehee, we’re pretty bad with anniversaries. Neither of us remember the date we first started dating or the even the date we first said “I love you!” Sure, we remember the *days* and what happened, just not the month/day/year. Right now we celebrate in a time frame that we picked as the “closest estimate” of when we started dating. :-P We have no specific date. FI’s actually excited about having a concrete day to say, “this is out wedding anniversary,” so I think our “general area” is gonna go out the window once we’re married. :-)

oops, we DO know the year :-) And I guess you could say we know a general month…sort of. Just not the specific days

I’d love to get married on our dating anniversary…but it’s on December 24th, so that doesn’t really seem like an option.

our meetaversary is this sunday… honestly celebrating our meetaversary is in a way more fun than our anniversary because it was such an intense, whirlwind crazy first week together. we still celebrate and i hope we always do! :)

neither one of us remember the exact date we met or starting dating, but our one year of being engaged anniversary was today. (technically yesterday since it’s about 1am here, but nov 2nd anyways.)
