Shop for a Cause - Partners Card

November 2nd, 2006 @ 3:12 pm by Mrs. Plum

The Partners Card formula is simple!

Shop for a Cause - Partners Card : wedding charity Prtscardchaselogo061 prtscardchaselogo061.jpg

Here’s how it works:

  • Purchase a Partners Card for $60.
  • Partners Card sponsors/underwrites all administrative and production costs of the promotion.
  • Participating Partners Card merchants offer a generous 20% discount to cardholders for the nine day period. (Oct 28-Nov 5th)
  • Participating Retailers

Thus 100% of the $60 card purchase goes directly to support The Family Place services. There are TONS of really great retailers on this list - I would’ve posted earlier, but I’ve been too busy shopping for charity! :)

Last weekend, I bought some embellished Jimmy Choos from the Jimmy Choo boutique in Highland Park for the wedding, a really CUTE dress from Max Azria, and I ordered more of my wedding china (Anna Weatherly) from the Madison boutique.

There are stores like Kiehls, Jimmy Choo, Anthropologie, Baccarat, BCBG, BOSS Hugo Boss, Charles David, Central Market, Escada, Emporio Armani, Stanley Korshak (where I bought my wedding gown! not on sale - boo), Gucci, La Coste, Luca Luca, Michael Kors, just to name a few.

Wedding related vendors include, but are not limited to invitationers like Needle in a Haystack, Petite Papery, Paperie & Co, Cranes, Socially Write…

Jewelers: Bachendorf’s Ylang | 23 (they carry Cathy Waterman, Temple St Clair, etc)

Home/Registry Places: Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, The Container Store, Stanley Korshak Home, Z Gallerie, Sur La Table, Madison, West Elm (we bought a cute rug there!)

There are even PHOTOGRAPHERS on the list: Karlisch Photography (one of the photographers I was going to hire, but they’re booked :(), John Haynsworth - he is AMAZING, James French and lots of florists as well.

A card only costs $60 to purchase and all proceeds go to The Family Place - a charity created to help victims of and families of domestic abuse.

Maybe I’m an idiot, but I’m not sure I get it? Is it a giftcard? A credit card?

it’s a little paper punch out card with their logo and a number on it - you just present it to the retailer and they automatically take off 20% of your purchase.

Hi Miss Plum,

May I ask where you purchased this card? I just tried to call Crate and Barrel and they were clueless…..

Is it 20% all these retailers?

Thanks!!

I purchased mine at Cranes - and yes! you do get 20% off at all the retailers - you might want to check their website for where the charity exists in your area - I live in Dallas

I see, I guess this is not in New York. None of the retailers I called know what I was talking about.
