About Mrs. Lily

I have very particular feet. I wear a size 5 and let me tell you, this size is not so easy to find. So I feel a bit like Cinderella in trying to find my wedding shoes — there is a perfect shoe out there, but I’m sure it will fit my feet and my feet alone! But then again, maybe I’m more like the evil stepsister, trying to cram my foot into all the shoes, but none work.

My current method of dealing with this shoe quandry is to buy every shoe under the sun that comes in a 5 online. Really. I now have FIVE pairs of shoes waiting for me in Arizona to try on my miniscule feet (and view with the dress). Mr. Lily told me last night that I’ve gone off the deep end. Maybe he’s right…

Here are the current contenders. Let’s hope one works! From Zappos, I bought three pairs. Zappos is great because they have a 365 day return policy. So many places have a 14 day policy and that’s just not enough time for me!

Cynthia Rowley, Tia White Satin:

Stuart Weitzman, Temptress:

From Bluefly I bought 2 pairs. Bluefly is great because they have a 90 day return policy, but are cheaper than Zappos!

Stuart Weitzman, ‘Goodlife’ d’orssay pumps:

Stuart Weitzman, white satin Sumatra pumps (the heel has swarovski crystals - we’ll see if this is pretty or pretty slutty!):

Have you tried DSW? I know it’s not online but they have great discounts and I found mine there. I was just in San Fransisco and saw they had a really large collection of bridal shoes.

as a size 5 or 5 1/2 depending on the shoe, i totally understand and did the same thing. i swear i ordered every white closed toe (or close) in a high heel online. and returned all but one. what i found THE MOST HELPFUL was contacting each and every stuart weitzman store. each store seems to carry their own shoe or two. they have WAY more that’s what’s shown online. for instance, my winning shoes were bought in beverly hills. it was the only SW that carried them. good luck!

I love the Tia and the Sumatra. I wear a size 5 as well so I know your pain! I never have trouble with Stuart Weitzman sizes and BCBG shoes always fit well for me! Good luck!

I feel your pain! I’m a size 5, too, and I know exactly how hard it is to find shoes in our size. :-( I love your choices, though. I’m definitely a fan of the Goodlife. I like a little bling. :-)

I wear size 5 too! It’s a huge pain, I hate shoe shopping.

I found these gorgeous gold shoes I thought I could wear with my 2nd dress - and they did have a size 5…but when they came, it was still too loose in the back - better for people who have wider feet. I tried foot petals but no luck, still too loose. I was sooo sad!

I hope you find a pair that’s cute AND comfortable! You’ll be on your feet all day so be sure to keep them happy. =o) Good luck!

I am also a size 5 or 51/2. I hardly ever find a pair of shoes that fit. Kenneth Cole usually carries small sizes.

Miss Lily - I usually choose a shoe with a strap so I can make it as tight as I want. I find that my heel slides out of any shoe (high heeled) without a strap. But ….. I do love the first pair. You can also use “Foot Petals” to prevent slipping. You can find them at

Good luck! The ones you’ve found online so far are adorable :) I completely feel your pain…If I’m lucky, a size 5 will fit but ideally I’d wear a size 4 or 4.5! I’ve bought a few pairs from this little shop by where I work that sells shoes imported from Italy and they go down to a size 3!

Miss Lily, here is the shoe brand I told you about at the meetup: http://www.bluetuxshoes.com/store/

They carry a size 5!

I do love those SW goodlife heels though.

Wow..I completely understand your problem, although I seem to have the opposite issue. It’s just as hard to find any sort of cute dress shoes in 11!! All the fun shoes are carried in sizes much smaller!
