Tweezerman Contest

November 4th, 2006 @ 2:37 pm by Contests

The Tweezerman Contest is officially over. We used a random number generator to determine the following winners. Congrats to: bluang3lbby, g, and h!

Thanks to everyone who entered - we’ll be back with a new contest Monday! :)

~~~
Mrs. Bee here.
I’ve owned the same pair of Tweezerman Slant Tweezers for many, many years. I use them to pluck my eyebrows, pluck my armpits 8O, apply false eyelashes - and they are hands down the best tweezers I’ve ever used.
So that’s why I’m very excited to announce that we have three Tweezerman Brow Grooming Solution Kits, valued at $50, to give away!
The Kit contains:
  • Slant® Tweezer
  • After Tweeze Soothing Cream
  • Spiral Brow Brush
  • Brow Powder Brush
  • Browmousse Brow Gel
  • Black roll up case
I’ve tried laser hair removal once during spa week (desperately want this for my underarms), threading (which I will definitely continue to do), and obviously plucking (check out Tweezerman’s tweezing tips here). I just may give waxing a whirl one day before we go on a vacation! :P So what does that have to do with the contest?
To enter the contest, simply leave a comment telling us how you deal with hair removal on your body - whether it’s plucking, waxing, sugaring, threading, bleaching, depilatories, electrolysis, laser hair removal - and where you use these methods. We’ll select 3 winners at random - you have until 11:59 pm this Friday to enter. All the weddingbees are eligible to enter as well.
Good luck everyone! :)
I’m a waxer/plucker/threader. Really depends on the area for me, I guess. :)
I pluck and wax. A normal waxing just doesn’t get up everything it’s supposed to sometimes.
I am desperately in need of these. My tweezers are so dull that I hate plucking and am staring to look like a gorilla!
I like to get waxed and tweeze to keep up in between and also to get the tough buggers!
I’ve done the whole laser hair removal thing, but after 6 sessions, it’s still not permanent…. still, it’s not as thick and more sparse, but not permanent … I’ve now moved to threading! Loving it!
I’m a shaver for my legs and arms, plucker for random stray hairs, a waxer for my eyebrown. And soon I will have my bikini area will have a new ‘do’ thanks to laser hair removal!!! I’m so excited!
Pluck and thread, wherever applicable. Have not tried waxing yet and I think laser is a good idea for the UA :)
I’ve been addicted to getting my eyebrows waxed since I was 14. I get it done about once a month and pluck religiously in between.
You need to be sure you have someone good though - I’ve gone to the same person since I started and wouldn’t you know, she was on vacation when I needed them done for an event. I went somewhere else and left crying because they screwed them up so horribly I had to let them fully grow back to fix it. They forgot to mention that the girl hadn’t waxed an eyebrow in 7 YEARS when they assigned her to me.
Eyebrows: wax or pluck
Lip: wax
Underarms: shave or pluck
Brazillian (TMI?): wax/pluck (some salons do a combo of both)
Legs: shave
ohhh, i so need these! i currently pluck, wax and shave- depending on the area. mr. bop doesn’t know about the waxing- that’s my secret. once, i came *this* close to having laser hair removal but backed out when my friend broke out in adult acne where she had the laser done :0 i do wish i would have gone through with it, looking back. ah, to be armpit and bikini line hair free!
I’m a leg shaver, but a knee plucker for those lil baby hairs, mustache waxer, eyebrow pluck/waxer, armpit shaver and love tunnel waxer. hahaha that last one gets credit from my Dad. His sex talk was, “stay away from the love tunnel.” hahaha
anyways, it’s not just me, but my husband too. He gets Avon hair removered(back) and I pluck his unibrow! If he only knew about this post! I could sure use a new pair of tweezers! Especially since his unibrow gives em a good workout!
oh where do i begin…
i dont have hair on my legs, barely any at all actually -
but for the rest of the areas…
ive done electrolysis on my upper lip and armpit areas. it was working too until i left for the summer and stopped the treatment.
ive done cream hair removal, sally hansen and nair.
ive tweezed and plucked.
ive waxed and done nads - the “natural” wax.
shaving is a last resort for emergency maintenance purposes only! =)
