Green, White, and…?

November 6th, 2006 @ 1:00 pm by Mrs. Peach

After a long period of indecisiveness, I decided on my wedding colors to be green and white. You can see the particular shade of green below in my bridesmaid dresses.

Green, White, and...? : wedding themes Greenandwhite greenandwhite.jpg

But lately, I’ve been thinking of adding another color. Perhaps a color… like peachy pink? My BMs could carry peach/light pink colored flowers (vs. white), and adding an extra color could add more flavor to our invitations and decorations. I dunno. On the other hand, simply green and white is also very classy… What do you think?

Stick with green and white? Or add a peachy/pink as an accent color? Or add a totally different color?

I love the idea of a peachy-pink. I had that dilemma with flowers.. I don’t want her to carry ivory ones soo…… must add another color! :) Maybe even a crisp yellow? Like the daffodils?

I think the pink would be cute. Since you like the white and green so much, maybe you could just focus on those colors whenever possible and when there is an area where you feel it is too boring or bland, add the peachy pink in. Peachy pink flowers always look nice!

You could add practically any color! I had the exact same dilemma and ended up adding burgandy. Turned out beautiful!

adding an accent color always brings out that extra punch, especially if you’re not using say, bold colors already [like reds, oranges, browns, et]. i’m a green/white girl myself until i decided it was a bit dull so brightened things up with a bright blue and now it’s perfect. at least in my mind.

I’m doing green, white, and light pink (and black - mens’ suits and possibly table accents). I originally wanted green and white, but white flowers means death in my culture, so I’m adding some light pink ones. I’m not big on green & hot pink because it seems trendy and overdone to me, but I think a pale pink looks nice.

I like the peach flower idea. Or possibly go with something a little bolder so that the color stands out more.

I think the peachy pink will be cute. If you’re not sold about having it totally as part of the scheme, I think you can just do the green and white and still have the flowers or other things you think looks plain be pink.

I was thinking a light orange, so peach would be perfect! I’m sure there are some really great flowers to use too!

what a coincidence! i’m getting married in atlanta too and my colors are green and white as well. i too am torn as to whether or not i should add a more spring-y, peach color. i’m leaning towards keeping just green and white.

i don’t know if you still need this but i saw in a few posts back that you were looking for dresses. i got my dress at this really cute bridal shop in roswell - wedding angels. http://www.weddingangels.com/

the women are really sweet and helpful.

we had pink, green & brown as our colors…more pink & green for the ceremony and more of the browns came in for the reception. maybe you can mix it up? you can have green & white the whole time but add an accent color - i think pink or peach would be really pretty. =)
