Mrs. Kiwi's Picture
Mrs. Kiwi, Los Angeles Age and Occupation in 06: 27, Bookkeeper Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, P.E. Teach/Coach @ private schools in LA Engagement Date: March 31, 2006 Wedding Date: November 3, 2007 Venue: Radisson Hotel About Me: I'm a bookkeeper who failed high school algebra. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, literally a street over from where I grew up with Mr. Kiwi, my honey of three years. We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

What Are The Odds?

November 6th, 2006 @ 3:56 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

Not only are Mrs. Bee and I both scorpios, but it looks like our respective sig. others think alike. For my birthday, I was given an onyx nintendo DS lite, along with a carrying case (because I drop things) and the Super Mario Bros. game.

He wanted to get me the pink one like Mrs. Bee, but since I got tired of my pink ipod so fast, he figured the black wouldn’t be as annoying to me later. Which I am glad for, deep inside.

When I saw the new Super Mario Bros. game had come out, I had to get the DS. Mario was the last game I could play before they got too complicated for me. The graphics are amazing, and the sound is sooo much better than Super Nintendo!

He only got me the one game because I am picky, and want to pick my own. I’m thinking of the new game Brain Age, because I swear, sitting at this desk day in and out- I’m getting dumber!! So this is the next one I’m getting:

Mr. Kiwi did a great job (how can you go wrong getting exactly what I wanted?), and it was a great birthday. And yes, I’m sad it’s over. :)

Awww! Mr. Lemon just bought himself one, after getting one for me on HIS birthday… Just don’t buy the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game! It’s far too cute and addictive.

Miss Lemon, the name of the Pokemon game is hilarious, super long!

Lynn, I WISh there was a wedding-related game for this!! It’s bad enough I do all my wedding planning from work, now I brought my DS!

Miss Bluebell, get with the program (kidding!)! It’s like that peer pressure thing: Everyone’s doing it..

I LOVELOVELOVELOVE my DSlite! :-) I actually keep it in my bag with me wherever I go. I have the white one though because FI got it for me once it came out (he actually upgraded me from the regular DS he bought me last year). My fave games are Super Mario Bros, Brain Age, Mario Kart and Big Brain Academy. Brain Age and Big Brain are actually quite different, and both are super fun ways to stay smart :-)

Joyjoy, thank you for saying “fun ways to STAY smart”. Not saying to “GET smart” :) I love it. I’ve only had it for one day (and was mighty sad when told to charge it for 3 HOURS!), but so far, LOVE it.

oh… and not to get anyone WAY too excited… there’s a web browser (Opera) out now as well (only released in Japan & Europe) for wireless surfing…
I use Big Brain Academy for my brainteasers :)

Christine, it’s so much like the old school one that I HAD to have it. Sure, there are some things that are different, but mostly things that are better. Like a super jumbo mushroom that makes you huge. And an teeny tiny one that makes you- you know. :)

LOL, I guess there’s many of us whose fiances are gamers. I also have a DS Lite from Mr. Plumeria — a white one. My favorite games are Cooking Mama and the Super Mario Bros. minigames… so fun!

hahahaha My brother gave me his for my birthday after I saw Mrs Bee’s post. haha I have Brain Age. It’s super addicting and fun to make people play and laugh when they get age 70. haha I love how people start yelling at the screen “I SAID BLUE!!!! STUPID THING!! BLUE!!” hahaha I also have Mario, Animal Crossing and Cooking Mama (which is also fun to make fun of people who play for the first time) :) Yay DS owners!

Hi guys!! Aren’t these games totally cool? Wsu, I totally wanted pink, but I have no attention span for things like that, so he thought he should get me black, since it’ll match things and won’t get all grubby like his mac does. :)

kp, I am addicted to the one where you have to find the character’s face in a bunch of other faces!!

sb, thanks! Happy Belated (or early!) birthday to you (both!)

I loooooove my ds lite. I don’t leave home without it. I bought it because I travel a lot for work, and this thing makes waiting in the airport and sitting in the plane go by so much faster. I have the new supermario bros. and the older one on game boy and mario cart, brain age is wonderful. I can only say good things about it. It is the perfect brain break when you’re at work. Can not go wrong with a DS lite. I think I am going to get one for my best friend so we can link up, linking up is even more fun, try it and have fun!
