How’s ‘Bout A Little Bling?

November 7th, 2006 @ 10:57 am by Mrs. Kiwi

Like many of the Bees (bugs, flowers, fruit) before me, I thought I’d share my engagement ring with everyone. Shinnnny…

The ring is in a white gold Robbins Bros. setting, set with a radiant shape center stone. On my GIA cert it’s a rectangular cut cornered brilliant - all the bonus of a round with the shape of an emerald! Wedding bands are still being debated, but I’m leaning towards just a plain white gold 2mm band.

Your ring is gorgeous! My boyfriend and I are looking for engagement rings and we were considering visiting Robbin’s Bros. How was your experience?

Miss Blueberry says:

It’s beautiful!!! Did you or Mr. Kiwi choose it?

Miss Bluebell says:

Preeetttyyyyyyy!!! You already know I love your ring, but seeing pictures again is always great! :-D

Hmmm now I wanna post mine too, but that’s being too much of a copycat so I’ll have to wait a little while! ;-)

Hoshiko, the treatment at Robbins Bros. was excellent, but the prices weren’t as good as I had found online- I found my exact same setting in platinum on Blue Nile for the same price. And we all know platinum is more expensive that white gold. :( So I think I would rather have done it online, like Miss Apple. BUT, the good thing was I tried on all the things I wanted to try on, and that’s why I ended up not getting a round! I think Robbins Bros. is a great resource, but know you CAN find better.

Miss Blueberry… The shame. :) We went to RB to try on the settings to see what I liked. Then I saw this one, and had to buy it. So we had the setting MONTHS before we even started looking for the center stone. :) Which I also picked. It was SO matter of fact, he transfered the money into my account, and I wired it to White Flash. :) Mr. Kiwi DID hold the ring hostage for 10 days, though. Because I’m so short, he put it in a high spot!
