Wedding Band Follow-up

November 7th, 2006 @ 12:04 pm by Mrs. Blueberry

Thank you so much everyone for helping me find the perfect wedding ring! I’m amazed at how talented you all are at using the Google, or whatever other trickery you know of. Thanks a million times over!!!

For a refresher, here is the original wedding band I fell in love with (pictured as the e-ring setting):

I just couldn’t handle the $1300 price tag. The original has .5 Cttw and is in 14k white gold. The diamonds are of comparable quality to mine (IIRC, F-G on color and VS1-2 on clarity).

Then I put my plea out to the Weddingbee and Xanga communities, and here’s what you all came up with!

From Estate Diamond Jewelry:

It’s 1.5 cttw and set in platinum. I may give them a call and see how much it would be to have it made in 14k white gold.

This one from Topazery is only $750 in 18K white gold, .30 cttw. Definitely in our price range!:

This is only $360, but it’s only .20 cttw, and the shape isn’t *quite* the same–but it’s already in my size, in 14k white gold, and you can’t argue with the price!

From bestgem, this is $550 and .30 cttw, with comparable quality to my e-ring:

Finally, Ice sells this one for only $225, but it’s 1/8 ct and the diamond quality isn’t exactly stellar:

Again, thanks so much to everyone who helped me out! I’ll let you all know once Mr. Blueberry and I reach a decision. What a dilemma! hehehe

Beautiful! I REALLY like that. Now I wish my wedding ring/engagement ring had a little more to it (it’s very modern). This looks classic and antique. :O) Don’t get me wrong, though–I LOVE my ring. I guess I just wish I could have a few more rings. ;O)

Also, I don’t know if you have a Simayof near you, but they have a band in the style that you want as well. They are usually up for bargaining.. and I’m sure they’ll have a number of sales during the holidays. Last time I checked, they had a similar band for about 500 to 700 buckaroos.

I’m looking for a similar band myself.. it’s gorgeous!

Strawbebi–the white gold ring is from the Marlene Harris collection, it’s a vintage ring.

I believe I suggested that one, even though the style isn’t exactly the same. They have some beautiful rings, although I ended up getting my vintage engagement ring from another jeweler.
