By request, here are a few ring picture taking tips that I have found helpful.
-If you have a macro setting, use it.
-Stabalize your camera via a tripod or something level, like books.
-Stabalize your ring as well, rather than having it on your finger.
-Don’t zoom.
-Play with lighting. Outdoor diffused light works really well.
-Play around with your camera’s different settings.
-Practice. Taking lots of pics and trying lots of things will help you figure out what works best for your camera.

i’ve tried using the maco setting and didn’t zoom in but i still can’t get a nice close-up shot ;(
kp - set your camera on the biggest setting (as in the best resolution) and just take a picture of your whole hand (or more). All of the good close up shots I took were actually not that close up looking on the camera, but when you have the full sized image on your computer, you can crop it to be right around the diamond!
