I really have no idea what it's going to end up looking like! Also, I picked Miss Bluebell for my name because I have blue eyes and I'm a loser like that.

About Mrs. Bluebell

So, Um, Me Too!

November 9th, 2006 @ 10:29 am by Mrs. Bluebell

In the interest of appearing to have original ideas, I was planning to hold off on posting my engagement ring for a little while so it would look like I just thought to post it all on my own! But now that even more people keep posting theirs, I want to too!!!!

The center stone is a cushion cut, and the setting is by Vera Wang, with micropave up the prongs and even on the prong tips!

Fabulous!! I want to know what kind of camera you used to get such great pix!! Mine always comes out blurry when I try to take ring shots…

Miss Plum says:

wow! that is so the setting that i originally wanted :-p gorgeous!

Miss Bluebell says:

Thanks h, Charlene, & nhung!!!

Ocicats - hehe, it’s cut shallow so supposedly the mm dimensions are that of a much larger carat weight, but shhh don’t tell anyone!

Charlene - I used a Sony Cybershot which isn’t a particularly fancy camera, it just takes a ZILLION tries to get it to focus properly. Try using some of the tips Miss Bird of Paradise posted the other day - that’s basically how I was able to get my best photos too!

Miss Plum - awww, cool! You have to post pics of yours though, since I’m sure I’ll love it if we have such similar taste! :-)

sneets says:

oh my… gorgeous. I have been lusting after that ring but I already have the center stone for my ring. Can you buy the settings seperately? Where?

snot says:

so pretty! i haven’t been able to take any pics of my ring. no good ones anyways. but i love the pave and etc. so nice!

14.
Miss Bluebell says:

Thanks sneets!! Yes, you can buy the Vera Wang setting separately - but most stores will tell you you can’t! They want you to buy the proprietary Vera Wang diamond too, b/c they get a higher cut or whatever. My fiance bought my setting from Michael C. Fina (in NYC), but not my cushion (Vera doesn’t even cut cushions), and they told him that VW can set almost any shape of center stone from any seller - you just ship it to them and they make the setting specifically to your stone’s specs. Give them a call and hopefully they can help you out!

Mrs. Bee says:

you had a similar style to miss beetle right? it’s gorgeous - a design i wanted at one point too. :)

kate says:

I love the trend of thin bands with bigger stones. If only you could have 3 or 4 engagement rings :)

18.
Miss Bluebell says:

Thanks snot, JTL, Mrs. Bee & Kate!! :-)

And Kate, I agree - there are sooo many different styles I like, it really would be nice to just have a huge chest of engagement rings to choose from every day! Hehe oh well.

Mrs Bee - yes, mine is almost identical to Miss Beetle’s!! We realized it on the elevator leaving the get together, they are soooo similar!

Miss Blueberry says:

Love your idea, Miss Violet…except mine is probably one of the smallest :-P Not that I mind, of course.

Beautiful! :-) You’re one lucky lucky girl!
My e-ring setting is quite similar to yours, micro pave eternity band and mine are diamond tipped prongs too. Somebody asked me before whether mine was a Vera Wang :-). You must be staring at this gorgeous bling all the time!
