Now we usually don’t talk about divorce or salacious celebrity gossip here on weddingbee, but I must admit I was shocked when I first heard that Britney Spears had filed for divorce. Everyone had been waiting and rooting for it to happen, and it finally did.
My brother-in-law just sent me a link to this cnet article and youtube video that shows Kevin Federline was notified of the divorce filing via text message. That’s pretty sad - Am I the only one that feels kinda sorry for him? But I do think Britney and the kids are way better off without him.
Whenever I see a Hollywood marriage that’s lasted, I actually marvel because it’s so rare. Even couples that seem so great together (Reese and Ryan), don’t make it. Still when it comes to celebrity marriages, I always find myself rooting for them hoping that they will prove everyone wrong.
Who’s your favorite celebrity couple?
mine WERE reese witherspoon & ryan phillippe. i thought they made such a cute couple! now i have to move on & find another fave couple!
I’m so glad someone else feels bad for him. I thought I was crazy for it.
After reading about that the day it came out, my fiance said “You know what this means? Of the two people in that relationship, neither were adults.”
I mean, no matter how bad it is breaking up via a text message is vile and immature.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson
Mine are a bit less in the limelight - Tim Robbins & Susan Sarandon! Man, I love them together. They never got married but have 2 kids and have been together since 1988 (yes, I just looked that up)

i feel bad for them and nobody should go through a breakup in front of millions of people. it’s hard enough as it is.
sad about reese and ryan too. they were adorable.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. They are so in love and so grounded.

everyone always knew that britney and kev would break up.
i wonder though…in less than 10 years, will we see jen garner and ben break up? how about nic and keith…tomkat????? it will be interesting to see…
brad and angelina are both sexy and rock it quite well.
like the others, i LOVED ryan and reese. it’s too bad.
and again, like the others, the only couples that i like are the ones that have been together forever but opted to never get “married”

I was a HUGE fan of Reese and Ryan. My next fave is Will and Jada. 
Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward seem to rank high on the “normal” celebrity couple rankings.

I also liked J. Simpson and Nick L. together but it didn’t last
i was so sad to hear about reese & ryan too. oh well.
other couples i like are rachel mcadams & ryan gosling and michelle williams & heath ledger.
and in some twisted way, i’m hoping that someday britney and justin will somehow get back together! haha
ooo love rachel mcadams! rachel bilson and adam brody are also cute as a button together.
Off the top of my head, I wanted to say Reese and Ryan but after reading everyone else’s comments, I’d have to say my #1 is Will and Jada and then Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. =) I also really like Rachel McAdams! And she makes a really cute couple with Ryan Gosling but they’re not really in the limelight so I haven’t really seen them interact. I’m sure they’re still cute together nonetheless!
I second Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell, and Tim Robbins & Susan Sarandon. Paul Newman & Joanna Woodward are great, and Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft were such a strange but wonderful pair.
