I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–I am obsessed with monograms! I’m always trying to figure out new and different ways to incorporate it into our wedding. I think a custom gobo is the next “must have” on my list!
Gobo(definition from Wikipedia): A gobo is a thin circular plate with holes cut in it to create patterns of projected light.
You can have your monogram, wedding date or names projected onto the dance floor. The possibilities are endless!

I love this idea, did you get one? Where can we get one of these?? I’ve looked high and low online and we can’t find one or we find them and they don’t look like a good one.

We used GoboMan.com for our custom gobo at our wedding. We bought the “custom wedding gobo package” which included both the gobo light and a custom gobo with our our initials. It looked awesome on the floor.

Our DJ had the light fixture already, so we had GoboMan.com just do the full color glass gobo, it was a picture of my Fiance and I. It looked incredible.We projected it above the Bride and Grooms table.

I have read everyone’s comments about the Gobo projector’s. I really want one however is hesitate because the projector seems to be the bulk of the cost but not sure what you are suppose to do with it later? Is anyone willing to rent theirs or sale me theirs for a lesser price?
If anyone is looking to order something similar we had a great experience using Gobosource.com They were friendly, competitive and most of all fast! They got us our custom gobo to us in less than 7 days and we are in Canada! Impressive Most major lighting rental companies can rent you the corresponding light for the day. Our gobo light will cost us only 30$ to rent.
i am newly engaged and just starting my wedding plans, but one thing for sure, i’ll have a gobo! the first time i’ve ever actually seen one was just earlier this year at my cousin’s wedding and it was really neat. she told me that she went though goboman (and i’ve already seen quite a few comments about them so sorry to go on), and that the service and delivery was great and fast. not too bad on the price either. so enough said, i am going with goboman!

We also had a gobo done by Goboman.com and it was a huge hit. My wife was hesitant, but after she saw it along with all of our decorations she was thrilled. It was just a very cool and unique item to have at our special event. We got the entire package and I am going to break out the projector and gobo on anniversarys to remind us of that day.
Does anyone know if these need to be mounted on the ceiling or how do you get them projected on the floor?
