I heard Christina Aguilera’s new album “Back to Basics” this weekend. This one song, oh my, really got me. It’s called “The Right Man.” With my wedding in a few days, the song is perfect timing. Not that I’ll use it during the reception or ceremony or anything, but she’s singing about something that hits home.

Without a father in my life, I’ve had to make the hard decision of who was going to walk me down the aisle. I thought of going solo, walking with my uncle - who is my godfather, or asking my grandfather. After going back and forth, and coming very close to going solo, I’ve decided to ask my grandfather. He is the only married man in my life/family (aside from the in-laws of course :)).
