About Mrs. Strawberry

Zeno

November 13th, 2006 @ 4:32 pm by Mrs. Strawberry

Like Miss Kiwi, I have a few wedding related fears. My biggest being my skin. It is so temperamental. I can go weeks with perfectly clear skin and them BAM! Explosion city all over my face. I saw this the other day at Sephora and was wondering if anyone has tried it?

It’s called Zeno and it claims to treat mild to moderate acne with heat! I’m very intrigued!

Zeno applies a precisely controlled heat dose directly to the pimple through a metal pad. One treatment lasts 2 1/2 minutes. Two to three treatments spread over 24 hours clear up most pimples quickly.

It’s a little pricey, so I was hoping to get some feedback on it before I bought it. It sounds so cool–I hope it works!! :)

I’ve never heard of it Miss Strawberry, but I personally LOVE proactiv. My skin is like yours, so I don’t use proactiv daily - except when I know I’m coming up on a *high stress* or important event, then I’ll start using it about a week before. Have you tried it?

I use stuff from cosmeticcop.com they have a exfoliation lotion and a blemish lotion, they are gentle enough for every day use. I feel like my skin is much better. I also know some people who swear by Arbonne products…

I have one, and it totally works for me!

I have super sensitive skin that can get quite temperamental at times. Benzoyl peroxide gives me rashes and salicylic acid dries me up really badly and depending on the concentration, sometimes makes me break out more(so there goes the top pimple fighters on the market including proactive and murad). Sulfur works fine albeit slowly. I finally decided to treat myself to the Zeno, and I have not had breakout probs since! Once I see/feel one coming on I use the Zeno and it goes away. My skin has completely cleared up, and I’m absolutely loving it! I do think that my results are most likely due to the combination of my skin care products along with the Zeno, though.

One thing to note is that it only works on cystic pimples. If the pimple turns into a whitehead, then it wont help. I did notice reviews that it doesnt work for everyone, but that’s the case with EVERY pimple treatment out there.

I would suggest that you buy it from somewhere that will allow you to return it if it doesnt work for you.

I have one! It works if you catch the pimple at it’s early stages. The area that is treated is a little red afterwards but it wears down. I got mines at Walgreens for $150, I know some other retailers sell it at a higher price. If it doesn’t work, you can return it at Walgreens within 30 days. Refills for the Zeno are also slightly cheaper at Walgreen at $25 each instead of $35. It might be a good investment ;-)

I purchased one and had used it for many treatments. Initially the pimple does seem to go away…the swelling is reduced significantly, but then days later it’s still there. The heat leaves the treated area very red, and I have a little bit of scarring still. My pimples are still there, but not pronounced (that’s what I mean by the scarring). I’ve stopped using it just because I don’t want to risk any further scarring/redness.

sounds kinda scary.. i don’t really have problem skin but when i get the occasional breakout, kiehl’s spot treatment works wonders for me.

I actually bought the Zeno a few months back and tried it for a week. My face had broken out right before a wedding I was attending and I didn’t want to look like a pizzaface. Needless to say, I tried it out on a few small pimples and one of those huge underground ones. I used it exactly as the instructions stated and I didn’t notice any zit-minimizing going on! I also tried it on the horrible underground one (beware: directions say that the Zeno isn’t really intended for these types of pimples). Mistake! 3 months later and I still have a dark purple scar in the middle of my cheek!!! That being said, I returned it and when they asked why I was bringing it back in, I just pointed to my ginormous scar. Hey, it was worth a try!
