Link Dump

As I’ve been Stumbling lately I’ve come across a lot of fun wedding sites and thought I’d share them with you all. I don’t have enough to say about any one to warrant its own entry, so with no further ado, I present my first Link Dump:
~~~
Tie-a-tie is a really great site that shows clear, step-by-step instructions for several common necktie knots–very helpful for the groom or GM who doesn’t know how to tie their tie! (Also, many tux shops have ties with zippers inside, that come pre-tied. Some you still have to do the old fashioned way, though ;)).
~~~
Porcelain Roses has a *beautiful* selection of porcelain and bead “flowers”, in case DIY isn’t really your thing.

Would you believe those are porcelain?!

This could be a great way to carry a bouquet that will always look as beautiful as on your wedding day, without having to go silk.

They also have crystal bead bouquets like mine, but just between us, theirs seem a bit overpriced and weird looking. If you want a crystal bead bouquet (or 2, or 3, or 4) send me a message and I’d be happy to work something out :).

Wedding Details has amazing instructions for several different napkin folds–a very classy way to add a touch of elegance and fun to your tables. I tried the “Crown” one myself and was able to pull it off using a paper napkin from Subway, so you know the directions really are easy :) teeheehee.
~~~
A Unique Union sells sooo many great wedding favors–they’re a little offbeat and cute. Definitely a lot of fun.
Like check out these candy candles ($3.00 apiece):
Or these cocktail lip balms–so yummy! (a bit high-priced, though, IMHO). $5.00 apiece:
Hanson Ellis is a bit more well-known (but not to me!). They also have cute favors, a bit more traditional.
OK that’s it for now :). Hope someone discovers something they need!
Wow, those candy candles look scrumptious! They look so delicious, in fact, that I bet some of the guests would be disappointed that they are candles and not chocolate. ^_^
Question:
We are slowly receiving gifts four months after our wedding. We just got an email from one store saying that an item purchased for us has been discontinued. It gave us the name of the purchaser and the item.
I would think the company should contact the purchaser but perhaps they just went from our registry. Should I still send a thank you note for the gift if we have not, and will not be receiving the gift?
Is it appropriate to let that gift giver know?
