Surprise Your Sporty Groom!

November 15th, 2006 @ 1:26 pm by Mrs. Hibiscus

My groom is a big sports fanatic. He’s from Northern California so his big teams are the San Francisco 49ers, the Oakland A’s and the Sacramento Kings. I think he would totally flip if he saw one of these garters from All Sports Weddings on the wedding night. I seriously think this would get him more excited than any lingerie (Well…not really but pretty darn close).

They have a couple different designs for each team but I just posted the first garters that came up. They’re $34.95 but I’ve read a couple reviews on the knot commenting on the excellent quality. GO TEAM!

I’m like Tea… I have the stronger fan connections so the extra garter is hard to figure out. We won’t be doing a normal garter toss anyhow, so I’m still trying to figure all of this out.

Check ebay. I was able to get a Red Sox one for much less money there. :)

That’s what I’m doing! Except I did as Kathleen said, and I bought mine on eBay. I think I spend about $10 for 2 (one SF Giants–my team, and one A’s–his team). I’m sure he’ll get a huge kick out of seeing both of those on my leg. I’m looking forward to seeing which one he decides to throw!

I have a feeling he might throw my team away, though… :-P

My best friend got married this summer, and her husband is a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan. Lucky for her, their colors happened to go with hers, so she got a Cowboys garter as a surprise. When he went under her dress to get it for the toss, he came right back out with a priceless look on his face! Hers wasn’t quite as intricate as these, but she got it for a really good price on eBay. Our colors are red and black and my FI is a big KC Chiefs fan, so I’m thinking of doing the same thing for him.

I’m doing WSU (I know, shocker, right?) and Seahawks–I think the single guys will be happy to catch the garter if it’s for their favorite local team!

Ebay has a shop also(morning glory garters). So much cheaper. They were excellent to work with! I got the both garters for under 34.95.

I noticed they also have military, police, and firefighter garters… I am tempted to get a Coast Guard one to see his reaction… :)

I actually ordered one, but it did not arrive. Would not recommend them as a vendor. They have been rather unresponsive and the return policy is all sales final. I would just say becareful.
