I Heart John!

November 16th, 2006 @ 10:29 am by Mrs. Spider

Who is John? He was our florist and I heart John something fierce. Here are just some of the reasons why:

When the flowers were delivered to the hotel room at 7am, they brought a welcome breath of fresh color to the room.

I chose white ribbon with pink pins for my bouquet and pink ribbon with pink pins for the bridesmaids.

The ceremony room was absolutely gorgeous…

…but the reception room left me absolutely weak in the knees. I had actually only wanted green apples in the vases and even brought John four cases of granny smiths two days before the wedding but green grapes somehow ended up at the bottom of the vases. Strange but still nice!

For more package details and price (oh my!) you can peruse previous posts here and here.

Wow, your reception room pieces are beautiful! I actually didn’t notice the grapes until you mentioned them but I’m sure they were very noticable at the wedding.

The grapes fill the narrow space on the bottom of the vases better. Apples won’t fit in there and it will look bare. Your florist is totally awesome for paying attention to such details and giving you more than you asked for.

thanks!

the vases John used are narrower than the one he used when we saw our sample. i slightly wish he would have given me a call to ask me first. i would have rathered the empty space than the grapes. i kinda like just a few apples floating near the top of the vases and clear water to the base. also had he told me he changed to smaller vases, i could have brought him less apples and saved more money. that was my only qualm, i promise.

Mrs. Spider,

How many roses did you request for your bouquet? It’s beautiful! …along with the rest of the flora by John.

Your BM dresses are so pretty. Where did you get them from and is it made in a shade of gold?

Thanks so much! I’ve only arranged silk floral before for my sis’s wedding. So, I’m planning on arranging my own using real roses. So, I needed some examples and estimate, and your florals were perfectly done. Of course, it was completed by a professional. VERY nice details in the colors.
