Speciality Cocktail

November 16th, 2006 @ 1:04 pm by Mrs. Raspberry

I have been searching for a speciality cocktail for the wedding. I thought it would be fun to have a “Miss Raspberry” Cocktail and a “Mr. Raspberry” Cocktail and I am determined to find the best one. Due to Mr. Raspberry’s previous experience in the restaurant industry, his will definitely be tasty, so I need to spend some serious time thinking about it.

We are thinking about having a couple of the tiers of our wedding cake be carrot cake (it is our favorite) and today my MOH and best buddy came across this idea…

Carrot Cake Martini!!!

Speciality Cocktail : wedding alcohol 82506318 82506318.jpg

The ingredients are vanilla vodka, carrot juice, toffee liquor and cinnamon schnapps. Sounds delicious to me!

Are you having anything special at the bar for your wedding? Do you have any great drink recipes that will help me find the best cocktail?

We had two cocktails to match our color scheme - red (Love Potion) and celadon (Magic Mojito).

But I think it’s a good idea to have classic cocktails like martinis with clever names along with something fun. The classics always work! :)

I’m leaning towards mango daquiris and something else for the boys, maybe a twist on the classic mojito.

I had a cajun themed reception (food) and so my signature cocktail was Hurricanes - yum! They were a big hit :)

The best martini I ever had was called a white wedding cake martini. It was vodka, pineapple & cranberry juices, and sugar! They rolled the glass in sugar instead of salt. It was amazing.

I’m thinking of having a few specialty drinks w/ the limited bar..ie) pom martini/mojito, etc

S’s drink sounds good. The best drink I ever had was a lychee daiquiri at Angel’s Share in NYC.
